Your website is an investment I take seriously. It shouldn’t be just another pretty site with bells and whistles. It is the cornerstone of your online marketing and is the first impression many people have of your company. If your website doesn’t work 24/7 and convert visitors into subscribers, donators, or hard sales, it isn’t doing its job.
I strive to build easy-to-use and quick-to-load websites, that are “sticky”, meaning visitors can find the information they are after without leaving your website. The longer a visitor stays on your site, the easier it is to deliver your message – whether it’s educating about your company/non-profit or selling goods or services.
All the websites I build are in WordPress. Gone are the days you need to compose an email with directions, send it off to your web team, and wait days or weeks for the updates to be applied. You’ll be able to add pages and update your website content on your own. Controlling the website’s content directly is like being able to instantly print and distribute professional marketing materials. Google loves websites that are updated frequently with fresh, relevant content. With WordPress, you’ll have the ability to update your website whenever the need arises, instantly.
WordPress is open source so you won’t rely on a software company staying in business or a limited number of developers who know the system. Over 20% of all websites are in WordPress, making it the most popular content management system in the world. Almost half the websites built using a Content Management System use WordPress. Chances are likely you’ll be able to find another WordPress developer should the need ever arise.
You’ll control where your website is hosted. I recommend hosting with WP Engine because of their speed, security and reliability, but if you want to host someplace else, you can.
